Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS is a critically acclaimed remaster of the legendary 1995 Super NES role-playing game developed by Square Enix's "Dream Team," which included Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii, and Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.

The story begins at the Millennial Fair, where a young protagonist named Crono meets an adventurous girl named Marle. When a newly developed teleportation device built by Crono's inventor friend Lucca malfunctions, Marle is pulled through a rift into the past. This event triggers an epic, world-spanning adventure across seven distinct eras—from prehistory to the post-apocalyptic future—as Crono and his allies race through time to defeat an ancient, world-destroying evil.
